2014 Best Hatchback Car of The Year : Hyundai Elite i20 Review

Hyundai had launched the second generation i20 called as Elite i20 in 2014 which has excellent style and sportiness.Elite i20 comes with two options: Petrol and Diesel.Elite i20 is equipped with 1.21 kappa  (VTVT) petrol engine(1197cc) which generates a maximum power of 83ps@6,000rpm and a torque output of 11.7 kgm . The new 1.4 L CRDi engine is technologically advanced engine in the Hyundai diesel family(1396cc) which generates a maximum power of 90ps@4,000 rpm, torque output of 22.4 kgm and comes with 6 speed manual gear box.

Interior and Exterior:

Elite i20 has a fluidic design with elongated headlamps and long flowing character lines. It is a combination of stylish and spacious car. It comes with turn indicators on both the mirrors.

Elite i20 has dual tone rear bumper, R16 diamond cut alloy wheels, front fog lamps, roof antenna, waistline mouldings and elongated rear combination lamps. 

It is ergonomically designed with well cushioned front and rear seats which offers great support and comfort to the passengers. It has next generation 8 speaker system, bluetooth and first in segment 1GB internal memory audio system. It is also equipped with fully automatic temperature control. This car has rear seat 60:40 split, 285 litres of  boot space, height adjustable driver’s seat, glove box cooling, luggage lamp, adjustable headrest and storage space.

It has dual airbags, headlamp escort function which allows the headlamps to be in ON condition for a limited time after the car is locked to illuminate the path if parked in dark condition, rear parking assist system, rear defogger, ABS, smart key with push button start, anti pinch power windows, smart pedal and auto light control.

The car has multi-function steering wheel, rear AC vents, rear parcel tray, tilt and telescopic steering, auto foldable electric mirror.

Elite i20 comes in 10 variants: 5 Petrol variants and 5 Diesel variants.
The Petrol variant range from Rs 5.23 Lakhs to Rs 6.86 Lakhs
The Diesel variant range from Rs 6.36 Lakhs to Rs 7.99 Lakhs
